# For Patients — Amavita Research

If you are a cardiology patient considering a clinical trial, Amavita Research is a Miami-based site that runs cardiovascular trials for medtech and biopharma sponsors. Joining a trial is voluntary and free for the participant.

## What participation typically looks like

- **Time commitment**: 6–12 visits over 6–24 months for a typical cardiovascular feasibility trial. Visits last 1–3 hours.
- **Compensation**: Usually $50–$200 per visit, with totals of $300–$2,500 depending on trial length. Disclosed in your informed consent form before you enroll.
- **Cost to you**: Zero. Trial-related visits, tests, study medications, and the investigational treatment are paid for by the sponsor. Insurance is not required.
- **Your rights**: You can leave a trial at any time, for any reason, with no penalties. Your standard cardiology care at amavita Heart and Vascular Health® continues unchanged.
- **Safety**: Every trial is reviewed by an independent IRB. You have a designated principal investigator (a cardiologist), a study coordinator who follows you closely, and 24/7 access to medical care. All trials follow ICH-GCP E6(R3) — the international gold standard for patient safety.
- **Privacy**: HIPAA-compliant. Your name is replaced with a study ID number in records sent to the sponsor.
